American Museum of Natural History, New York. At the base of a full-scale diorama of an African rainforest, a dramatic 18-screen 60'-long band of visually spectacular video images portrays the Earth's diverse ecosystems and threats to their vitality due to human activities. In a continuously cycling sequence, visitors experience the diverse beauty, as well as the threats, to a stunning array of natural environments. Behind this video display, within the rainforest diorama, "pepper’s ghost" effects, motion footage, and a richly realistic sound environment dramatically introduce visitors to a tropical rainforest habitat.
